Sebastian, FL (April 9, 2021) – A 38-year-old Sebastian resident sustained critical injuries after his involvement in a head-on, two-car crash that happened on Tuesday, April 6 in Sebastian. Florida Highway Patrol troopers stated that the wreck occurred at around 9:00 a.m. between a sedan and a dump truck.
The incident involved a 2019 Ford Escape, driven by the Sebastian man, as well as a 2007 dump truck, according to information in reports. The driver of the dump truck, identified as a 46-year-old Micco man, sustained minor injuries in the accident.
For currently unknown reasons, the Escape collided with the truck in the northbound lane of the roadway. The driver of the Escape sustained critical injuries.
Paramedics treated the injured parties at the crash site. The Sebastian man was taken to Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, according to officials. The Micco man was taken by ambulance to Sebastian River Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries.
