Miami, FL (April 18, 2021) – A fiery crash in Miami Beach took two lives and injured two others on the morning of Saturday, April 17. At around 5:40 a.m., first responders were sent to the scene in order to assist those with injuries.
When they arrived at the 3100 block of Pine Tree Drive, where the wreck was reported to have taken place, paramedics found that one man had been killed in the crash. Three other victims were transported to Ryder Trauma Center for the treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.
Another male victim later succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the hospital. The remaining two victims, identified as two women, sustained injuries deemed moderate in nature and are expected to make full recoveries.
According to reports, an SUV was traveling south on Pine Tree Drive when for unknown reasons, the driver lost control and crashed into a tree on the side of the road.
Police officials in Miami continue to investigate the details of the collision. Pine Tree Drive was shut down between 30th and 34th for an extended time period while crews were present.
Those involved have not been identified to the public at this time. Local drivers were asked to avoid the area where the wreck happened while responders worked to secure the scene.
The area was active for several hours after the incident took place. No further information is available at this time.
