Boynton Beach, FL (August 10, 2021) – A woman identified as 75-year-old Lynne Cigale lost her life in a fatal accident near an intersection in Boynton Beach. The wreck occurred at around 3:00 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, August 7.
According to information from officials, the wreck happened near Verona Lakes Boulevard and Lyons Road for reasons still being investigated by police. It was reported that Cigale was in a vehicle with a man identified as Bruce Cigale at the time of the wreck.
Cigale was traveling in a Ford Escape headed north on Lyons Road when he attempted to turn left onto Verona Lakes Boulevard. When he did so, he collided with an oncoming Lexus headed south on Lyons Road.
The Ford Escape was then forced into a Ford F-150 stopped at the intersection’s traffic light. The driver of the F-150 sustained no injuries, however.
Lynne Cigale lost her life in the wreck and was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding professionals. Bruce Cigale was transported to Delray Medical Center. He is currently listed in critical condition.
The Lexus driver sustained no major injuries in the crash. Authorities continue to investigate.
