Tamiami, FL (October 24, 2021) – An auto accident involving a pedestrian took place at an intersection in Tamiami, Miami on the evening of Sunday, October 24. Police, paramedics, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene in order to assist those involved at approximately 7:33 p.m.
The incident caused a pedestrian to become injured after they were hit by a gray vehicle. They were transported to an area medical center for treatment shortly after the crash took place. Their identity has not been released at this time.
Police in Tamiami continue to investigate the cause of the wreck. It was reported to have occurred at Southwest 13th Avenue and Coral Way.
Traffic in the area was blocked for some time while crews worked at the crash scene. Local motorists were asked to find different travel routes for the time being.
