Miami, FL (November 16, 2021) – A woman lost her life while riding her bicycle after she was involved in a traffic collision in Miami on Tuesday, November 16. The crash happened at approximately 7:00 a.m., according to preliminary reports.
The woman was struck by a semi-truck traveling near the River Landing shopping and residential complex near 14 Avenue and Northwest North River Drive. Miami Police investigators pronounced the female cyclist deceased on-site.
The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials. The semi-truck, which was with “Ceva Logistics,” appeared to be entering or exiting the loading dock at the time of the collision.
Traffic homicide detectives responded to the site of the wreck in order to assist with the investigation, as well as the City of Miami Fire Rescue team. At this time, few details are available concerning the nature of the incident.
