Broward County, FL (June 24, 2021) – An auto accident in Broward County sent at least one driver to the hospital on the evening of June 23, according to authorities.
Broward County Police and Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the crash, which occurred in the area of I-95 South near Hillsboro Avenue just before 11:00 a.m. Investigators said that all lanes of the interstate were blocked for an extended period of time while responders worked to secure the scene.
Both drivers were transported to area hospitals with injuries of an unknown magnitude. Their identities have also not been reported at this time.
Traffic was delayed in the area while responders worked to clear the crash scene. Local motorists were forced to utilize alternate travel routes for some time after the collision occurred.
Police in Broward County continue to investigate the details of the accident.
