Coral Gables, FL (August 28, 2021) – Two people were transported to the hospital after a car fell from a Coral Gables valet area and landed on its roof Friday afternoon, August 27.
The incident reportedly occurred around 1:15 p.m. at Riviera Country Club, located at 1155 Blue Road. Coral Gables Police spokesperson Kelly Denham said they found a 92-year-old female, who was driving the fallen Cadillac sedan, along with a female passenger.
The driver was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center with serious but not life-threatening injuries. The passenger, meanwhile, was transported to Baptist’s Doctors Hospital with moderate injuries.
Police said they will continue to investigate the incident, and nothing further has currently been reported.
