Martin Co, FL (July 13, 2021) – One person died on Monday, July 12th following a two-car crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Martin County.
The accident happened at about 4:30 a.m. on I-95 in the area of Baker Road when a car and an SUV were driving southbound along the interstate when, in an attempt to avoid a crash, the car veered to the right, causing it to strike the back of the SUV.
The car then went off the road where it crashed into a culvert and then sank into a lake.
The driver of the car, a 24-year-old man from Monterey, CA died at the scene.
The 29-year-old driver of the SUV was unharmed during the incident.
The case is pending investigation.
