Miami, FL (November 22, 2021) – A 70-year-old man was struck by an Uber on Sunday, November 21 in Miami. Authorities blocked off Biscayne Boulevard near Northeast 24th and 25th Street while they investigated the circumstances of the wreck.
The Uber was headed south on Biscayne Boulevard when, for unknown reasons, it hit the elderly man who was in the roadway. A witness stated that the man suffered head injuries.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment. His name has not been reported at this time.
Multiple vehicles had to be re-routed while the scene was active with first responders. Traffic was backed up in the area for some time.
Nothing further has been reported concerning the nature of the incident. Police in Miami continue to investigate.
