Miami, FL (September 23, 2021) – One person lost their life, and another suffered injuries in a traffic accident that occurred in Miami on the morning of Wednesday, September 22. The fatal crash was reported to local officials sometime shortly after 4:30 a.m.
Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol indicate that a silver Mercedes Benz lost control while driving on Interstate 95. For unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway in the vicinity of Ives Dairy Road and struck a tree.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased on the scene. They were identified as an adult male. One passenger present in the vehicle at the time was transported to Aventura Hospital with injuries.
All northbound lanes of the interstate were closed between Ives Dairy Road and Hallandale Beach Boulevard while authorities worked to secure the area. Delays in traffic were observed until roughly 9:00 a.m.
