Miami, FL (May 28, 2021) – An accident reported in the Miami area claimed the life of one person on Thursday evening. Just after 11 p.m., on May 27, the Miami Police, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene of a traffic-related incident on Northeast 144th Street.
Reports from the Miami police show that a pedestrian was traveling in the area of Northeast 144th Street and Northeast 6th Avenue. For unknown reasons, the pedestrian was struck by a passing vehicle.
The pedestrian sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident. Despite the best efforts of responding emergency medical services crews, the victim passed away from their injuries while at the scene. At this time, the police in Miami are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
