Pembroke Pines, FL (December 9, 2021) – One person lost their life and another was hurt in a Saturday morning car accident in Pembroke Pines. Authorities said it occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m.
First responders were dispatched to the area of Sheridan Street on Interstate 75 shortly after the wreck occurred. Sources say a 2015 gray Mercedes was headed north on the interstate when they entered the exit ramp to head west on Sheridan Street.
The Mercedes traveled south through the light and drove across all travel lanes on Sheridan. It then went airborne after striking the curb, struck a tree, and landed in the drainage culvert where it rolled onto its passenger side.
Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with injuries. The driver’s injuries were reported to be minor, however, the passenger lost their life at the hospital.
Neither has been identified at this time. Authorities in Pembroke Pines continue to investigate.
