Pinecrest, FL (September 18, 2021) – Authorities in Pinecrest are investigating the circumstances of a serious car accident that happened on Saturday morning, September 18.
EMS units rushed a man to the Jackson South Medical Center via ambulance in critical condition. First responders had to rescue the man from an early morning car crash in the Pinecrest area.
Crews were reportedly dispatched to the scene on northbound South Dixie Highway near 128th Street. Officers say one of the vehicles involved crashed into a sign near the municipal center around 3:00 a.m.
Police say the man who is hospitalized is 32 years of age, but they have not released his identity.
The collision closed all lanes in the immediate area, though the roadway reopened later that morning. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the wreck and have not released further details at this time.
