Plantation, FL (November 20, 2021) – At approximately 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, a cyclist was killed when they were struck by a transit bus in Plantation. The wreck was reported to authorities in Broward County at approximately 7:20 p.m.
Police are investigating the crash that occurred on Northwest 84th Avenue near Broward Boulevard. Plantation authorities and Fire units responded to the scene to find a victim lying unresponsive in front of the Broward County transit bus.
Despite life-saving efforts, the unidentified cyclist was declared deceased on-site by paramedics. Police in Plantation continue to investigate the details of the fatal incident.
