Pompano Beach, FL (October 25, 2021) – A pedestrian lost their life after they were hit by a train in Pompano Beach in Broward County in the early morning hours of Sunday, October 24. Reports indicate that the wreck occurred at around 3:15 a.m.
The accident happened on the tracks located along the 600 block of the North Dixie Highway near Northeast 33rd Street for reasons still being investigated by police. Deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene where the victim was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Police are currently in the process of investigating the circumstances that caused the fatal crash to occur. The victim’s identity has not been publicly released at this time.
