Auto Collisions in St Johns County
Travel by car is the most popular method of transportation throughout the United States. Motor vehicles have come a long way since their advent in 1886. Numerous safety measures are taken while building automobiles to ensure the continued well-being of their users. Though there have been countless precautions taken in order to improve and incorporate different safety features in motor vehicles over the years, there is, unfortunately, no way to guarantee the complete safety of those who drive/ride in them. This is due to the fact that, when it comes to safety while driving/riding in a car, not only must we consider the soundness of the vehicle itself, we must also consider the soundness of the judgment of those who are driving around us. In Florida, the leading cause of motor vehicle accidents, currently, is distracted driving. Across the country, negligent driving accounts for almost all of the traffic accidents that take place, around 92%.
People lose their lives every single day due to car accidents in Florida and across the United States. Statistically speaking, more than 3,000 people per year are killed due to fatal traffic accidents in Florida. Besides distraction, speeding and intoxication are the 2nd and 3rd most common reason that fatal car accidents occur in the Sunshine State.
