St Lucie, FL (August 21, 2021) – All lanes of a roadway in St Lucie were blocked due to a serious car accident that occurred on the afternoon of August 21. The wreck occurred at around 5:42 p.m. for reasons still under police investigation.
According to reports, the crash happened on Florida’s Turnpike near milepost 160 when two or more vehicles were involved in a collision. Paramedics were observed at the scene shortly after it happened.
At least one person sustained injuries in the crash, though no one involved has been identified at this time. Paramedics assisted those who were injured at the scene before transporting seriously injured patients to local hospitals for treatment as needed.
Delays in traffic were observed for an extended period of time on the afternoon of August 21 on Florida’s Turnpike while crews were at the scene. Local motorists were forced to find alternative travel routes for the time being.
