Sunny Isles Beach, FL (October 18, 2021) – A man lost his life after he was struck by a vehicle and then fell from a bridge in Sunny Isles Beach on the evening of Friday, October 15. Police officials in Sunny Isles Beach were called to the scene at around 11:00 p.m., according to reports.
Sources say the man had car trouble and pulled over to the side of the 163rd Street Bridge just before 11:00. He was looking under the hood when he was hit by a car and thrown over the bridge into the water below, according to police.
It was reported by authorities that someone came up behind the man in a vehicle and ran into him. At this time, the victim has not been identified. Authorities searched by foot and by boat for the man well into the morning of Saturday, October 16.
Shortly before noon on Saturday, the man was located. Authorities in Sunny Isles continue to investigate the details of this tragic accident.
