Vero Beach, FL (May 7, 2021) – A traffic accident that occurred on Thursday, May 6, in Vero Beach, took the life of one 21-year-old female. Police and EMTs were sent to assist at the scene of the collision shortly after it took place.
The wreck was reported to have occurred on State Road 60 at around 10:03 a.m. Two rear passengers were ejected from a vehicle after a driver, identified as a 48-year-old man, lost control of the car. The vehicle overturned, causing injuries to those involved.
Three passengers were present in the vehicle at the time, identified as women aged 18, 21, and 55. Officials stated that as the vehicle was headed west, it drove onto a grassy shoulder when the driver overcorrected to the left. The vehicle then headed northwest and overturned.
Paramedics were dispatched to the crash scene in order to render aid to those involved. The 21-year-old woman lost her life in the crash. The other two women and the driver were treated for injuries. Their current conditions are currently unknown.
Police continue to investigate the details of the incident.
