West Park, FL (September 20, 2021) – A vehicle crashed into the front of a business in West Park on the morning of Friday, September 17, taking the life of one individual. A 20-year-old woman present in the vehicle at the time of the crash lost her life, according to reports concerning the wreck.
The incident took place on Pembroke Road near 56th Avenue at the Purple Palace Barber & Beauty Salon. An SUV ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a vehicle that was headed west on Pembroke. The impact from the SUV hitting the vehicle the victim was riding in pushed the vehicle into the front of the beauty salon.
The driver of the SUV was arrested at the scene for driving with a suspended license. Authorities in West Park stated that he will face other charges as well.
Authorities in West Park continue to investigate the details of the collision. No other injuries were reported.
